First Consultation
Your first visit is very important because this is where our orthodontist listens to your concerns and discusses your treatment with you. We will also explain your fees to you. If you decide to start braces, you can proceed to do your dental records.
Dental Records
The usual dental records are X-rays, dental moulds and photos. If there is enough time, you can do your records on the same day as your consultation.
Braces Placement
You will set an appointment to have your braces put on. If you require tooth extractions, you should wait for at least 2-3 days before putting your braces on. Our clinic does not perform extractions because we specialize in braces. We will provide you a letter to indicate which teeth needs to be extracted. You can see any dentist for your extractions.
Monthly Follow Ups
After your braces are put on, we will see you once every 4-6 weeks for adjustments. Each adjustment usually takes 5 to 15 minutes. Routine cases usually require 14-24 adjustments.
Braces Removal
Your braces are removed when you are happy with the result. A set of post-treatment dental records are done. This include a mould for retainer fabrication.
Retainer Fitting
Your custom made retainers are fitted one week after your braces are removed. You must be disciplined in wearing them to minimize any changes to your teeth alignment.
